One of the best tacos in all of Las Vegas, Taco Y Taco is a local favorite that has tourists clamoring for more. The mouthwatering street tacos melt in your mouth and are available with any meat you could imagine-al pastor, chorizo, pollo, or cabeza.

Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina is home to some of the best Mexican food in Las Vegas! You have your choice of four different types of flaming fajitas: pork, chicken, steak, or shrimp that come with a litany of toppings.

There are two locations, one in southwest Las Vegas and one in Henderson. If you have a car and want to venture away from the tourist areas, Juan’s Flaming Fajitas is a great spot.
Rodolfo’s Mexican Grill
My absolute favorite spot in Las Vegas is at a little gas station called Rodolfo’s Mexican Grill in south Las Vegas. It’s a mile north of South Point, a little hard for tourists to get to, but if you have a car, it’s worth the drive. It’s a take-out spot that never disappoints. I always order the Carne Asada Plate and am always pleased.
While you won’t find Rodolfo’s on other ‘best of’ lists, it deserves to be on them. Online reviews give it 4 to 4.5 stars, and it’s not for everyone. But for those that love a good hole in the wall, check it out.
Best Mexican Food on The Strip
One of the biggest problems with dining on The Strip is knowing if the restaurant you’re walking into will be good. Nothing is worse than overpaying for a mediocre experience.
As I mentioned in the list above:
- Javier’s at Aria is the top level if you want the best Mexican food in Las Vegas. The dark ambient setting makes it stand out from all the other options.
- Border Grill at Mandalay Bay is hands down a cool place. The giant windows and sunlight brighten this place up. The food presentation is incredible. If you’re on the south end of The Strip, it’s your best bet.
- Cañonita at Venetian has to be in the mix. They offer a unique setting overlooking the Venetian canals. They deliver an upscale experience that is sure to please.
- Nacho Daddy at Planet Hollywood is on the list because it’s a crowd favorite. It’s got a personality and culture that’s unlike any other Mexican restaurant in the city. Order nachos and cocktails. It’s what they do best.
- El Segundo Sol at Fashion Show Mall is a personal favorite for the indoor-outdoor setting, great happy hour, and affordable prices. The food is above average, but it’s the relaxed environment that draws in and keeps me coming back.
Popular Mexican Restaurants on The Strip
If you can’t make it to one of the best restaurants, there are many great options on Las Vegas Boulevard.
There are a couple of good spots on the south end of The Strip, including Diablo’s Cantina at Luxor, a festive restaurant that will give you a buzz. The restaurant averages 3.5 stars online, with cocktails being the favorite part of the meal. There’s another Diablo location inside The Mirage.
At New York-New York, there is Gonzalez Y Gonzalez. Users rate it between 3.5 and 4 stars online, with people raving about consistency and an enjoyable experience.
Crossing the boulevard, Hecho En Vegas Mexican Grill & Cantina inside the MGM Grand provides a casual dining experience. Users agree the brightly colored restaurant is between a 3.5 and 4-star restaurant but often complain about the expensive price tag.
Planet Hollywood is home to three more spots, including the popular Mexican chain Cabo Wabo Cantina. The restaurant features outdoor patio seating overlooking The Strip and Bellagio Fountains. Inside the casino, you’ll find Yolös Mexican Grill, which features modern Mexican dishes with a vibrant atmosphere. La Salsa Cantina is a fast-casual spot with a killer happy hour inside the Miracle Mile Shops.
Across the street at the Cosmopolitan is China Poblano, a fusion of Chinese and Mexican cuisine by chef José Andrés. A few steps away is semi-hidden and very popular Ghost Donkey Mescal & Tequila Bar, the perfect place for a pre-dinner margarita or cocktail.
Moving north, Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar on The LINQ Promenade is a heck of an experience. During the day, Chayo is a relatively typical Mexican restaurant. But as the sun sets, the party begins. Take a ride on the mechanical bull, dance to the DJ, and enjoy the tequila.
Señor Frog’s at Treasure Island is a Mexican institution. While not a place I would recommend for Mexican food, it’s a heck of a party! Take a shot of tequila, grab a frozen margarita, and get loose!
Best Mexican Food Downtown Las Vegas
While there aren’t many Mexican restaurants downtown, there are a couple of great options–including food trucks. Some of the best tacos and burritos I’ve had were at food trucks downtown.
As mentioned above, Nacho Daddy is the most popular Mexican food tourist destination downtown. While they have incredible drinks and nachos, it’s not a traditional Mexican experience.
Popular Mexican Restaurants Downtown Las Vegas
At the Golden Nugget, you’ll find the Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar. It’s a mixture of modern sports bar meets cantina. You can choose from over 70 tequilas and mezcals or grab an 80-ounce beer tower. Users rate is an average of 4 stars and commonly discuss the party-like atmosphere.
If you need a late-night snack on the Fremont Street Experience, check out Tacos & Miches Fremont across from The D. The aromas of tacos goodness waft out of this place onto Fremont Street. Users give it about four stars and are generally happy if they order tacos.
Head over to the Fremont East District.
Lucky Day is the perfect spot for a mezcal or tequila cocktail. The setting is unlike any other Mexican bar or restaurant in Las Vegas. You’ll find rare mezcals, small-batch tequilas, and cocktails that will leave you speechless. Lucky Day only offers chips, salsa, and guacamole for food, but it’s one of the best cocktail spots downtown.
Near El Cortez is La Comida, a fun and lively spot that says they offer the authentic taste of Mexico City with an American twist. The cozy restaurant has excellent decor and a killer cocktail menu. Users rate it about four stars and often compliment the service and atmosphere.
A few blocks away at Container Park is Pinches Tacos. The small shop offers a wide variety of tasty tacos and burritos. The small restaurant keeps users happy, averaging 4 to 4.5 stars. Pinches Tacos has two more locations, one in southwest Las Vegas and another in Henderson.
