Description

The Chelsea Las Vegas is an incredible concert venue that hosts a diverse range of live music and comedy acts. It’s located inside The Cosmopolitan hotel.

Now, having been there myself for multiple concerts, including The Killers, AJR, and Silversun Pickups, I can assure you that the atmosphere is nothing short of electric.

The acoustics are excellent, the venue is beautiful, and the performances? Absolutely top-tier, especially if you’re a fan of rock concerts like I am.

The Chelsea has a wide stage with a balcony that is tacked on top of the limited 100-level seating. This layout allows for a good view, regardless of where you’re sitting or standing.

For some concerts, the entire floor is converted into general admission, standing room only. All of the shows I’ve been to at The Chelsea have been in the GA pit, including for The Killers.

Additionally, for some shows there’s an added gallery general admission section behind the 200-level sections. These tickets have a limited view of the stage and aren’t ideal for seeing the band.

The Chelsea Theater can hold between 2,500-5,000 people, depending on whether it’s a seated event.

Where is The Chelsea?

The Chelsea Theater is located on the third level of the Chelsea tower inside of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.

Insider Tip: The Chelsea is about a 10-minute walk from the Cosmopolitan’s entrances on The Strip. If you’re going to a show at The Chelsea, give yourself plenty of time to get to the venue.

If you’re planning on eating before the show, The Cosmopolitan is full of delightful options, including some of my favorite restaurants in Las Vegas.

You can’t go wrong at STK, but it’s expensive and you’ll need a reservation. Momofuku is another great spot. For a fast (and semi-affordable) meal, I’d recommend Tekka Bar or Hattie B’s inside the food hall.

For a meal after the show, I’d recommend Beauty & Essex.

Nearby Bars & Nightlife

For a pre-show cocktail, I’d recommend the “hidden” Ghost Donkey for a tequila or mezcal cocktail. Ghost Donkey is behind an unmarked door in the food hall.

You can’t go wrong at any of the layers of The Chandelier Bar. For a quieter spot, check out Vesper in the lobby.

After the show, you have lots of great nightlife options including Marquee Nightclub, The Barbershop, and Clique.

Hotels Near The Chelsea

Staying at The Cosmopolitan is always a wonderful experience, but I recognize it may be out of your budget or not to your taste.

Neighboring Cosmopolitan are two expensive hotels, Bellagio and Aria. In my opinion, Bellagio isn’t worth the money, but it’s an iconic resort. Vdara is a non-gaming hotel that’s connected to Cosmo via a pedestrian bridge.

Budget-Friendly: If you need to save money, try directly across the street at Planet Hollywood. A little further down The Strip is Horseshoe, another decent option.

Lastly, across the street is Paris Las Vegas–a romantic French-themed hotel with great restaurants.
