5 Reasons Why You Should Go On The High Roller

The High Roller is the only observation wheel in Las Vegas. It is located on The Strip at The LINQ Promenade, right between The LINQ and Flamingo hotels. The popular attraction provides guests with a 30-minute ride with stunning views of Las Vegas.

Here are some of our favorite reasons you should go on the High Roller while you’re in Las Vegas:

5. The High Roller is Huge!

The High Roller is 550 feet tall. It is the second tallest Ferris Wheel, taller than the London Eye and Singapore Flyer, but shorter than Ain Dubai.

The High Roller moves at one foot per second and takes 30 minutes to complete one loop. It can hold 1,120 people and features 28 cabins that can hold up to 40 people.

The High Roller is the second tallest attraction in Las Vegas behind The Strat’s Observation Deck. It’s 10 feet taller than the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas.

4. The VIP Cabins Can Host Your Party or Special Event

The High Roller in Las Vegas

You can enjoy the stunning views with the privacy of just your group in a High Roller VIP Cabin.

Starting at $600, you can book a VIP Cabin which includes 30 minutes in a private cabin for up to 20 guests. You can choose the music.

A VIP Cabin is the best backdrop for an elopement, small wedding, or proposal. It’s also great for raising a toast to celebrate a birthday or a bachelor or bachelorette party.

3. Escape The Chaos Without Leaving The Strip

The High Roller is a great family-friendly attraction.

There is nothing like staying on the Las Vegas Strip. But sometimes, the neverending party can be too much. If you’re like us and you need a break from all drinking, gambling, and debauchery, a 30-minute spin on the High Roller can provide a great escape.

For thirty minutes, you can take in the sights of Las Vegas and enjoy a calm that is hard to find on The Strip.

2. Breathtaking Views of Las Vegas

During the day, you can see the majestic Las Vegas valley. From the peak of Mt. Charleston to downtown Las Vegas to Henderson’s hills, the High Roller gives you a chance to see the whole valley.

If you ride at night, you may catch a glimpse of the Bellagio Fountains, Mirage Volcano, or Eiffel Tower Light Show

The High Roller provides incredible backdrops for photos and selfies.

1. Happy Half Hour

If you’re over 21 years old, here’s our favorite part of the High Roller. Open bar. That’s right, during your 30-minute ride, you can enjoy an open bar on the Happy Half Hour.

For about $25 more, you can get a Happy Half Hour ticket that includes an open bar with middle-shelf cocktails, bottled beer, and wine.

A lot of people ask, is the Happy Half Hour worth it?

Yes! The Happy Half Hour is a pretty good deal if you can drink at least two cocktails in 30 minutes. The price of a similar cocktail on The Strip costs between $12 and $15. So if you have a couple, you’re saving money. Plus, who doesn’t want to drink while they float 550 into the air?

Sometimes the bartenders are rockstars and will make you a to-go cocktail.

We recommend the High Roller at The LINQ Promenade for all first-time visitors to Las Vegas. It’s affordable and a great way to see the whole city, get lots of pictures and enjoy a couple of drinks (if you book a Happy Half Hour).

If you have a large group, the wheel is one of the best attractions in town. It can be hard to find places to accommodate lots of people in Vegas, and it can hold up to 40, plus they offer group discounts. Buy your tickets online, so you don’t have to wait in line or worry about tickets to the High Roller selling out.
