Best Mexican Food In Las Vegas: Casa Playa at Wynn Las Vegas

Casa Playa opened in late 2021 at the Wynn Las Vegas. It has quickly made a name for itself. Casa Playa is the place to go in Las Vegas if you’re looking for upscale Mexican food. With dishes like ceviche or aguachile, seafood platters, Wagyu tacos, or suckling pig carnitas; there’s something here that sure satisfies any palate!

It’s an expensive restaurant, expect to spend at least $50 per person, but it’s a top-tier dining experience in Las Vegas. If you’re visiting and looking for high-end Mexican cuisine, I highly recommend it!

Chica Las Vegas Review

While technically a Latin restaurant, Chica at The Venetian has some of the best Mexican food in Las Vegas. Chica is the perfect place to experience bold flavors from around Latin America. With an innovative and diverse menu, Chica dishes are sure to not disappoint at this vibrant restaurant.

You’ll find bold dishes like “Al Pastor” Ribs, crispy Peruvian octopus, and Venezuelan braised short ribs that will make your taste buds sing! There’s so much more to explore too; there’s an extensive cocktail & wine menu with great options such as Mezcal Punch. Similar to Casa Playa, Chica is an expensive restaurant. El Segundo Sol is across the street from Wynn and sits overlooking The Strip in front of the Fashion Show Mall.

6. Señor Frog’s at Treasure Island

Senor Frog's Las Vegas Review
Best Mexican Food In Las Vegas: Senor Frog’s at Treasure Island

Señor Frog’s at Treasure Island is a Mexican institution. While not a place I would recommend for Mexican food, it’s a heck of a party! Take a shot of tequila, grab a frozen margarita, and get loose on the dance floor!

The food itself leaves something to be desired, but that’s not why you should go to Senor Frog’s. There’s just so much to enjoy here, including the festive atmosphere that is unforgettable.

4. Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar at The LINQ

Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar
Best Mexican Food In Las Vegas: Chayo Mexican Kitchen at The LINQ

Chayo Mexican Kitchen + Tequila Bar on The LINQ Promenade is a heck of an experience perfect for a nice dinner of Happy Hour on the High Roller.

During the day, Chayo is a relatively typical Mexican restaurant. But as the sun sets, the party begins. Take a ride on the mechanical bull, dance to the DJ, and enjoy the tequila.

To me, it’s less about the food and more about the experience at Chayo Mexican Kitchen. While they do have good food, it’s pretty pricey. That said, the environment is what you’re paying for and it’s unlike any other Mexican restaurant on The Strip.

Similar to Diablo’s, if you find yourself at New York New York Resort & Casino, Gonzalez Y Gonzalez is your best bet. The chips and salsa are amazing! The restaurant and bar have a good atmosphere with a great selection of tequila and drinks.

The food is good, but it’s not somewhere I would normally seek out unless I was in the general vicinity. Here you’ll find classic Mexican favorites like tacos and enchiladas to taquitos or fajitas. Most users give it between 3.5-4 stars online, which is about right.

What’s the best Mexican Food in Downtown Las Vegas?

While there aren’t many Mexican restaurants downtown, there are a couple of great options–including food trucks. Some of the best tacos and burritos I’ve had were at food trucks downtown.

As mentioned above, Nacho Daddy is the most popular Mexican food tourist destination downtown. While they have incredible drinks and nachos, it’s not a traditional Mexican experience.

What’s the best Mexican food Off-Strip in Las Vegas?

There are a lot of great Mexican restaurants around Las Vegas in the suburbs, here are just a few of our favorites:

1. Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina

Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina is home to some of the best Mexican food in Las Vegas! You have your choice of four different types of flaming fajitas: pork, chicken, steak, or shrimp that come with a litany of toppings.

In addition to the specialty dishes, Juan’s also offers tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and more for those who prefer something other than fajitas.

Mexican brunch is both delicious and colorful. Diners can choose from huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, or a Mexican omelet with all the trimmings to get their day started right while also enjoying some refreshing margaritas. From beer to wine to cocktails, there’s something here for everyone!

There are two locations, one in southwest Las Vegas and one in Henderson. If you have a car and want to venture away from the tourist areas, Juan’s Flaming Fajitas is a great spot.

2. Lindo Michoacán

When it comes to Mexican cuisine, you’ll find Lindo Michoacan is second-to-none. With an exquisite menu of unique recipes and combo plates, this restaurant has something for everyone – from children to adults looking for an afternoon meal or dinner!

One of the best tacos in all of Las Vegas, Taco Y Taco is a local favorite that has tourists clamoring for more. The mouthwatering street tacos melt in your mouth and are available with any meat you could imagine-al pastor, chorizo, pollo, or cabeza.

You can even top it off with one of their perfect salsas from their salsa bar to transport yourself right back to Mexico! Grab yourself a cocktail, beer, or wine and enjoy the best tacos in Las Vegas.

Taco Y Taco has two locations in Las Vegas, one about a mile from Green Valley Ranch in Henderson and another about four miles from The Strip.

4. Rodolfo’s Mexican Grill

My absolute favorite spot in Las Vegas is at a little gas station called Rodolfo’s Mexican Grill in south Las Vegas. It’s a mile north of South Point, a little hard for tourists to get to, but if you have a car, it’s worth the drive. It’s a take-out spot that never disappoints. I always order the Carne Asada Plate and am always pleased.

While you won’t find Rodolfo’s on other ‘best of’ lists, it deserves to be on them. Online reviews give it 4 to 4.5 stars, and it’s not for everyone. But for those that love a good hole in the wall, check it out.

Conclusion
