Circus Circus is a Las Vegas icon. From The Adventuredome to The Midway arcade, the resort offers a variety of family-friendly amenities. Plus they have one of the best steakhouses in the city, and a great pool complex! However, the circus-themed resort met with some pretty big negatives. It’s over 50 years old and it shows.

In my Circus Circus Las Vegas review, I’ll show you the highlights and why you should be cautious of this budget-friendly resort.

Circus Circus is a fun, family-friendly resort with lots of great amenities. However, it’s important to be aware that the resort is quite old and doesn’t have the luxury feel as other resorts on The Strip. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly option for your Las Vegas vacation, Circus Circus is a great choice.

Pros

  • Rooms at Circus Circus are very cheap.
  • There are lots of family-friendly attractions like The Adventuredome and The Midway arcade.
  • It has one of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas.
  • There’s free parking.

Cons

  • It’s over 50 years old and it shows. You get what you pay for.
  • There’s no life and the atmosphere is dead inside the Circus Circus casino.
  • There are kids everywhere, if you’re not traveling with them, be prepared.

Things We Like

When it comes to finding a great place to stay in Las Vegas with the whole family, Circus Circus is certainly a top contender. As one of the longest-running casinos in town, this hotel offers plenty of great options for families and budget travelers alike.

The rooms at Circus Circus may be inexpensive, but you can expect decent accommodations. Plus, all guests receive access to some of the fantastic attractions that make this destination so popular—like the incredible Splash Pool, The Adventuredome, and The Midway arcade. Here you’ll find fun activities and entertainment suitable for the whole family.

It may surprise you, but Circus Circus is home to one of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas. Not something you’d expect at a budget resort, but if you’re looking for a top-tier meal, you’ll find it here. You don’t have to worry about paying for parking either since the hotel offers free parking for visitors staying in their hotels.

If you want to visit Las Vegas on a budget without sacrificing quality or amenities, then look no further than Circus Circus! With its amazing discounts on rooms, fantastic attractions, and delicious steakhouse restaurant, it’s definitely worth considering for your next getaway.

Things We Don’t Like

As an experienced Vegas-goer, I can certainly vouch for the fact that Circus Circus is not the place to stay if you’re looking for luxury. Don’t let the bright lights and glitzy exterior fool you – inside, it’s exactly what you pay for. The casino floor become a little like a ghost town during the day when all the fun happens out of doors by the pool or inside The Adventuredome.

Be warned – if you’re not bringing the kids, be prepared to dodge kids running around since this is where many come to stay who are traveling with youngsters. While there’s definitely some charm and nostalgia in being one of the oldest casinos on The Strip, it may be best to look elsewhere if you want more atmosphere and nightlife.

Who should stay at Circus Circus?

If you’re planning to visit Las Vegas and are looking for a place to stay, Circus Circus is a great option if you’re on an extremely tight budget or want something more family friendly. With exciting activities and attractions sure to delight visitors of all ages, this budget-friendly hotel offers plenty of fun without breaking the bank. If you’re going to a festival at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, Circus Circus is the closest hotel to the entrance.

For anyone else who wants a little bit more out of their experience, there are loads of other hotels along The Strip that offer a step up in comfort or convenience. So if you’re hoping for a front-row view of all the sights and sounds of Las Vegas, it may be worth looking into accommodation options further south on The Strip.

We Recommend:

  • If you’re on an extremely tight budget and you can’t afford any other hotel, Circus Circus is your best cheap hotel on The Strip.
  • If you’re traveling with your kids to Las Vegas, Circus Circus has the most family-friendly activities for the whole family.
  • If you’re going to a festival at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, it’s convenient to stay at Circus Circus.

We Don’t Recommend:

  • If you want a nice hotel (not even a luxury hotel), I wouldn’t recommend staying at Circus Circus. Excalibur and Luxor are better options.
  • Explorers who want to see Las Vegas will be stuck at Circus Circus on the far north end of Las Vegas, I’d recommend Treasure Island instead.
  • If you’re not traveling with kids, but have your heart set on the north end of The Strip, I’d recommend Sahara instead.

Compare Hotels

When it comes to family-friendly hotels, Circus Circus is certainly at the top of the list due to its fun attractions. But Excalibur is even nicer and provides more family activities. If you’re traveling with teenagers, Luxor can’t be beat for fun – HyperX Esports Arena and Blue Man Group are sure to keep them entertained!

And as a hotel itself, Luxor takes the cake. When delving into other properties on the North Strip though, The STRAT makes a huge leap beyond Circus Circus – amazing live entertainment, attractions, and rooms have made it stand out among its peers!

Circus Circus vs. Excalibur

In terms of family-friendly hotels, Circus Circus is at the top of the list for its attractions. However, Excalibur is a nicer hotel and offers families a variety of activities.

Best Kid Friendly Hotels In Las Vegas: Luxor

Circus Circus vs. Luxor

Circus Circus is better with young children, while Luxor is better for teenagers with attractions like HyperX Esports Arena and Blue Man Group. Luxor also is a better hotel overall.

Circus Circus vs. The STRAT

When comparing North Strip properties, The STRAT blows Circus Circus out of the water, especially if you aren’t taking the kids. The STRAT has live entertainment, more adult-friendly attractions, and nicer rooms.

Restaurants & Bars

At Circus Circus, explore a plethora of delicious food options! Sample one of the best steakhouses in Las Vegas, The Steak House–an experience you won’t soon forget. Or opt for something lighter with some fast-food eats. Whatever your preference may be, there’s sure to be something that’ll satisfy even the most selective eaters here! Explore everything this place has to offer and top it off with refreshments from any one of their bars along the way.
