Downtown Hotels To Avoid

There are a couple of Downtown Vegas hotels I would recommend avoiding.

Golden Gate

I love gambling at the Golden Gate, and I love the hotel’s history. But unless you book a suite, the rooms are tiny. It’s a cheap hotel that offers two free passes to Circa’s Stadium Swim. Beyond that, it’s a place to crash after a night of partying on Fremont Street.

The rooms hear everything on Fremont Street, the AC didn’t work great, and the rooms are smaller than my office. However, I would stay at Golden Gate again if I booked a suite.

Binion’s Hotel Apache

I really like the nostalgia Binion’s provides. I often gamble at Binion’s and frequently get drinks at the bars. Plus, the chicken tenders at Whiskey Licker are outstanding.

However, the rooms feel like time capsules. I prefer modern amenities when I travel. Binion’s doesn’t offer much. The prices are low, and they don’t charge a resort fee, but I’d opt for their sister-property Four Queens, instead.

Other Hotels & Motels

Like other downtowns, there are many hotels and motels throughout the city. It would be best if you avoided several hotels close to the Fremont Street Experience

These include the Bridger Inn Hotel, Villa Inn Motel, Carson View Suites, Dragon Motel, Alpine Motel, City Center Motel, and others.

There are a lot of reasons why you should avoid these hotels. Many of them are far away from Fremont Street’s tourist parts or in bad parts of downtown.

Instead, stick to a casino hotel or resort for a safer, more pleasant vacation.

Conclusion

Plan your trip to Downtown La Vegas and stay at one of the best Downtown Vegas hotels. From the bright lights of Fremont Street to the classic casinos and resorts, there’s something for you.

Book your room at Circa, Golden Nugget, or The D, and I promise you’ll have a vacation to remember.
