Las Vegas Show Guides

How We Determined The Best Cheap Las Vegas Shows

The first thing to determine the best budget-friendly Las Vegas shows was to define cheap. According to the LVCVA, the average visitor to Las Vegas spends about $140 on show tickets. The most popular shows like “O” by Cirque du Soleil and Absinthe can cost $140+ for a bad seat. So in this article, I have defined a cheap Vegas show as tickets up to $55 each. I have added a few shows I believe are a good value that cost more, but no shows on this list cost over $80.

Methodology: How We Ranked Cheapest Vegas Shows

I considered many factors while ranking the best cheap shows in Las Vegas. Price was the most important. But a close second was show quality. I have seen a lot of cheap Vegas shows for $20 to $40–most of them are terrible. My primary objective was to balance price and quality.

For example, a show like Piff The Magic Dragon isn’t the cheapest ticket, but it’s one of the most entertaining comedy magic shows I have seen in Las Vegas. So while the price may be $50-$70 a ticket, you’re getting a tremendous value for the quality of show.

Additional factors I considered were location and genre. I have seen the majority of these shows. There are a bunch of shows I’ve seen that I intentionally left off because they’re not worth seeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

One way to get cheap tickets to Vegas shows is to buy them in advance. Many shows offer discounts for tickets purchased ahead of time, so it’s worth checking the online box office in advance. A night out on the Vegas Strip can be a pretty pricey affair, especially if you’re planning on catching a show. Ticket prices for the most popular shows can range from $50 to $200 per person, not even considering the cost of drinks, dinner, and transportation. If you’re on a budget, quite a few options are available. I’d recommend checking out Piff The Magic Dragon, Extravaganza, and Terry Fator. My complete list above provides an in-depth look at the best cheap Vegas shows for under $60.

While waiting until you arrive in Las Vegas to book show tickets may be tempting, it is generally better to plan and purchase tickets in advance. For one thing, popular shows often sell out, so if you wait too long, you may end up being disappointed. In addition, advance tickets usually cost less than tickets purchased at the door. And finally, if you book in advance, you can be sure to get seats close to the stage or wherever else you would like to sit. So while there may be a few exceptions, it is best to book your Vegas show tickets in advance.
