The Excalibur Hotel & Casino is a medieval-themed resort on the north part of The Strip, just south of Luxor and Mandalay Bay. It offers affordable rates for families and features a pool, a massive casino, and an assortment of restaurants and family-friendly activities to choose from.

The Excalibur Las Vegas has one of the most recognizable facades on The Strip and is an excellent choice for visitors on a tight budget and families with younger children.

    • The Excalibur castle facade is one of the most recognizable theme hotels in the world. In the era of de-themed hotels, Excalibur still has charm and cartoonish appeal.
    • It’s a fun environment for all ages. The property has an arcade, live shows, and entertainment for everyone.
    • Excalibur is a budget-friendly hotel with room rates as low as $20 a night (plus resort fee).
    What To Expect At Excalibur
    • The vibe at Excalibur is lively. On the casino floor, you’ll find ruckus gaming pits and loud slots. If you’re not traveling with kids, be warned that there will be many families.
    • While rooms are affordable, like other MGM Resorts International properties, food and drinks can be expensive. Expect to spend at least $10 to $30 per meal and $12 per cocktail.
    • The resort is over 25 years old. Parts of the hotel will feel outdated, but MGM Resorts has done a decent job with renovations throughout the years.

    Excalibur Hotel Rooms & Suites

Running on the theme of royalty and extravagance, the rooms and suites available at the Excalibur Resort are truly fit for kings, queens, and all of the royalty in-between.

Like many castles, the Excalibur Resort features two towers in which guests can stay: the Resort Tower and the Royal Tower. Fortunately, no matter which tower guests choose, views of The Strip from the Resort Tower and views of the Excalibur Castle from the Royal Tower are available to guests. Standard King or Queen rooms are around 350 square feet and provide basic amenities such as complimentary WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and more.

Suites are available in both the Resort and Royal towers. The Royal Luxury Suite is most on theme with the resort, with grandeur décor and bedding to play up the fairy tale of being at the Excalibur. All suites will feature a living room for entertaining and more space, either in one or two bedrooms. Suites can also feature deep soaking tubs, crown molding, flat-screen TVs, granite countertops, and more. The Stay Well Suites are also available at the Excalibur, offering guests the opportunity to upgrade their stay for an experience that is guaranteed to be even more comfortable. Amenities in the Stay Well Suites include air purification systems, aromatherapy, Vitamin-C shower infusers, and more.

Excalibur is known for being one of the more budget-friendly hotels on The Strip. If you feel like you can’t swing a room with a view, one of the luxury suites, or a Stay Well Suite, don’t panic. Rooms start at $20/night with a resort fee of $35/night, making it an affordable and comfortable option perfect for the whole family, a group of friends, a romantic getaway, or just you.

Whether you are a hotel guest or a casino visitor, Excalibur Las Vegas charges for parking. Self-parking costs between $12 - $15. For valet services, guests can pay $18 - $30, which is on the lower range for valet services and well-worth the cost!

No matter where you stay at Excalibur, all guests have access to the fitness center, the spa, the resort’s four pools, and the vast array of dining, nightclub, bar, and entertainment options inside the resort.

    Excalibur Pool and Spa

Boasting 30,000 square feet of deck space, the pool oasis at the Excalibur Resort can make anyone feel like royalty. Guests have access to four luxury pools, 19 cabanas, and a water slide, as well as reservation capabilities for lounge chairs and cabanas surrounding the pool. Cabanas feature towel service, lounge chairs, complimentary snacks, and more.

The Slide and Spring Pool Cabanas offer a complete set of furniture, bottled water, a table and chairs, four lounge chairs, and many other amenities that make up the baseline inclusions for Cabana reservations. The upgrade comes in with the VIP Pool Cabana, which features the same amenities but access to Excalibur’s VIP Pool, making it a more private, luxuriously spacious experience. Be sure to book these experiences in advance – they tend to go fast as groups enjoy the upgrade to host their closest friends and family.

Embrace your inner King or Queen with a day at Excalibur’s Spa, which overlooks the pool oasis at the resort. This 13,000 square foot spa provides world-class comfort and services to guests, from custom massages for expecting mothers to those simply looking for some me-time. The spa also offers seasonal treatments; for example, the Autumn Slumber – a custom massage stimulated by the spiced scents of fall, with a complimentary shot of Fireball and a shot glass!

    Restaurants at Excalibur Las Vegas

While the vibe is casual at Camelot Steakhouse, this steakhouse serves the freshest cuts of beef, seafood, and house-made desserts, making for a genuinely high-end dining experience. Aside from each person in your party choosing items off the menu for dinner, Camelot’s also offers the Camelot Feast – at $100/person; this spread serves 10-12 people with 8-9 dishes on the table. No matter which route you choose, you will always be eating well at Camelot’s.

If you were expecting a regular night out to eat, Dick’s Last Resort is not that! You won’t regret a night out at Dick’s thought – prepare yourself for offensive jokes and a rowdy joint that will have you doubled over from laughing so hard. Dick’s serves up your classic pub fare and an extensive beer list. Overall, leave the kids at home for this night out.

Buca di Beppo has a warm, welcoming environment perfect for the whole family! Sit down and eat an authentic Italian meal family-style, with each dish filling up 2-4 people. Have a bigger group? You and your 13 closest (or newest) friends can gather around the “Pope’s Table” for a feast unlike any other. Pull up a chair and enjoy some wholesome family cookin’.

For a laid-back night out with your crew, head to Vagabond at the Excalibur. It is your classic sports pub where the dress code is incredibly casual, and you’re free to cheer on your favorite sports teams and catch up with your friends. Vagabond is a great budget-friendly, casual option for those nights you don’t feel like getting dressed up and wishing you could unbutton your pants at the dinner table!

The Castle Walk Food Court is a great place to split up for dinner if your group has differing opinions about what to eat. This food court has your classic chain favorites like Auntie Anne’s, Cinnabon, Popeyes, and more. Great for a cheap, quick bite to eat or to fuel up on your favorite Starbucks order.

Things to Do at the Excalibur Resort & Casino

Let your inner child (and your actual child) loose at the Fun Dungeon Arcade at the Excalibur Resort & Casino! This arcade is a family-friendly way to have fun and play your favorite arcade games. Featuring over 200 games, 60 arcade games, and more, you can cap off a night of playing arcade classics with a sweet treat from Dairy Queen or Orange Julius!

    Shows at Excalibur Las Vegas

Are you looking for dinner and a show that works for the entire family? The Tournament of Kings is a classic show at the Excalibur Resort & Casino that is family-friendly and a whole lot of fun. Taking place in a 900 seat round arena, Tournament of Kings re-tells the story of King Arthur and takes it to the next level with showstopping pyrotechnics and knights jousting for their honor. Hearty meals are served during this show, and guests eat said meals with their hands (a.k.a the original utensils).

Magic and laughs, what more could you want? Mac King is one of the world’s most beloved magicians and comedians, and he has a show right at the Excalibur Las Vegas. With the help of his pet guinea pig “Colonel Sanders,” Mac puts on shows that are ever-changing and always entertaining. Mac performs a more family-friendly show in the afternoons while the evenings are geared more toward the adult crowd if you have kids with you. To see Mac become completely invisible, make his head disappear into a paper bag, and render objects (or animals) out of thin air, check out Mac King’s Comedy Magic Show

You know them, you love them: the Bee Gees. The Australian Bee Gees Show is a tribute to the iconic disco group, the Bee Gees! This multimedia event brings the music of the Bee Gees to life right at the Excalibur Resort & Casino. Jam out to the hits of Saturday Night Fever like “Staying Alive,” “Jive Talkin’,” and more.

Ladies (maybe gentlemen), this one is for you. Excalibur is host to one of Las Vegas’ hottest shows, Thunder from Down Under. Australia’s hottest men grace the stage to show off their physiques and give the audience seductive dance routines and cheeky charm. It’s the perfect show for Bachelorette parties or just a girls’ night out with some spice! Imagine Magic Mike, but Australian and way more raunchy – that is the essence of Thunder from Down Under.

    Gambling on Excalibur’s Casino Floor

The casino floor at the Excalibur Resort Las Vegas is expansive yet comfortable and operated by extremely friendly staff, making it feel accessible and judgment-free. Play your favorite slots and table games; table games have reasonable buy-in prices, and guests can take a gander in Excalibur’s poker room to have hospitable dealers sort out a game of Texas Hold’Em and more.

Enjoy game-day adrenaline in the BetMGM Sportsbook at Excalibur.  Watch and bet on the teams that you care most about, and if you have any questions, the staff in the sportsbook are more than happy to answer questions and get you started.
