Top Cheap Las Vegas Hotels on The Strip

1. Flamingo

Flamingo

Rated 0.0 out of 5

3555 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Book Room

I’ve stayed at the Flamingo, one of the cheap hotels in Las Vegas Strip, and here’s what you need to know. The hotel’s central location is a definite plus point. You’re right in the middle of all the action on The Strip, so getting around to see the sights isn’t a hassle.

The cost of rooms can be as low as $20 a night during the week, which is a steal considering the location. However, do keep your expectations in check, the room quality could be better, but it’s decent for the price you’re paying.

The Flamingo has an excellent pool area that includes an adults-only dayclub style pool. This spot is perfect for you if you’re looking to unwind and soak up some sun. Another highlight is the free Flamingo Wildlife Habitat located right next to the pool. It’s a refreshing change from the usual hustle and bustle of Vegas and a nice touch that adds value to your stay.

Entertainment wise, the Flamingo doesn’t disappoint either. It’s home to Piff The Magic Dragon, one of the top shows in Las Vegas.

Food options are abundant at the Flamingo. While it houses notable restaurants like Bugsy & Meyer’s Steakhouse, its proximity to The LINQ Promenade means you’re just a stone’s throw away from affordable eateries and bars like In-N-Out and Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips.

Considering all these factors, I would recommend the Flamingo as a good choice among the cheap Vegas hotels on the strip.

2. New York New York

New York New York

Book Room

From my experience, New York New York is one of the attractive cheap hotels in Vegas Strip. Located on the south side of The Strip, it offers excellent value, especially if you’re visiting during the week.

Rooms go for around $50 a night, which is quite reasonable for a mid-tier hotel. You’ll find that the rooms and suites are of good quality, so you won’t have to compromise on comfort while saving on costs.

During your stay, you can enjoy a variety of entertainment options, including the Big Apple Arcade and Roller Coaster. These features make the hotel a fun-filled destination in its own right. In addition, you’ll have the chance to watch performances by Cirque du Soleil’s Mad Apple and Terry Fator, adding to the list of reasons why this hotel stands out among cheap Las Vegas hotels on the strip.

Food and drink options at New York New York are worth mentioning too. With outlets like Gonzalez y Gonzalez, Beerhaus, and Nine Fine Irishmen.

Although the prices are slightly higher than at other hotels on this list, the quality of the offerings justifies the cost. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel that doesn’t skimp on quality, a midweek stay at New York New York could be just what you need.

The LINQ

The LINQ, one of the cheap hotels in Las Vegas Strip, you’re greeted with a vibe that’s both modern and unpretentious. With room rates starting at an affordable $30 per night, this centrally-located hotel offers standard, modern rooms without any unnecessary flashiness.

It’s clear from the get-go that The LINQ is designed with practicality and comfort in mind, making it a good choice for those who want to experience the buzz of Vegas without breaking the bank.

As a guest, you’ll have easy access to some of Vegas’ top attractions. The LINQ is home to the High Roller, the LINQ Promenade, and Fly LINQ. And if you’re a fan of magic, you’re in luck – Mat Franco performs here.

In terms of dining, you’re well catered for with a variety of affordable food and drink options throughout the property. Some of my personal favorites are Flour & Barley, Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen & Bar, and Buddy’s Jersey Eats. While the casino bars can be pricey, there’s something to be said for the experience of sipping a cocktail at the Re:Match bar while people-watching on The Strip.

All things considered, The LINQ provides a cost-effective and enjoyable stay for those looking for cheap Vegas hotels on the strip.

4. Planet Hollywood

Planet Hollywood

3667 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Book Room

Planet Hollywood, one of the cheap hotels in Las Vegas Strip, is a place I’d recommend for those on a budget. With rooms starting at a reasonable $35 per night, Planet Hollywood offers great value for money. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed for the price range.

The pool area is quite inviting as well, offering views overlooking The Strip. Do keep in mind, though, that drinks here can be on the pricier side.

The hotel’s location, right near the center of The Strip, is a major advantage. You’re in the heart of all the action, with easy access to everything Vegas has to offer. Not to mention, Planet Hollywood is home to the Miracle Mile Shops, where you’ll find a mix of restaurants and bars. Budget-friendly dining options are also plentiful throughout the property, so you won’t be left wanting when it comes to food and drink.

For entertainment, Planet Hollywood has you covered. You can catch a show like Nathan Burton at the V Theater for just $20. Inside the casino, you’ll find affordable meal options at places such as Earl of Sandwich, Yolos, and Gordon Ramsay Burger.

It’s worth noting that the atmosphere leans towards a loud party vibe, so if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this might not be the best fit. But if you’re after a lively experience among the cheap Vegas hotels on the strip, Planet Hollywood could be right up your alley.

5. Best Western Casino Royale

Casino Royale

Rated 3.3 out of 5

3411 Las Vegas Blvd S, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Book Room

Best Western Casino Royale, situated in the heart of The Strip, offers a solid option among cheap hotels in Vegas Strip. The room rates start at $89, which may seem a bit steep compared to others on this list.

However, there are no additional charges for resort fees or parking, making it a good value overall. The rooms offer standard Best Western quality, providing a comfortable, no-frills experience for the budget-minded traveler.

One of the highlights of Casino Royale is its casino bar, where you’ll find $3 bottles of beer and reasonably priced cocktails. The casino itself is geared towards those who prefer lower stakes, making it an inviting place for casual gamblers.

For meals, the food court provides cheap food options. If you feel like treating yourself, there’s an Outback Steakhouse and Denny’s on-site. Located adjacent to The Venetian, Mirage, and Harrah’s, the hotel’s central location on The Strip is another plus.

However, be aware that Casino Royale can get busy and the crowd can sometimes be a bit rough around the edges. That said, it caters well to budget travelers and doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. If you’re seeking an affordable stay among the cheap Las Vegas hotels on The Strip without unnecessary frills, Best Western Casino Royale is worth considering.

3645 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Book Room

Horseshoe, one of the cheap hotels in Las Vegas Strip, offers great value for those looking to stay in the center of all the action. The hotel underwent a major renovation starting in 2022, transitioning from Bally’s to Horseshoe, and the rooms now provide comfortable accommodations at a very reasonable price.

The hotel doesn’t skimp on amenities either, boasting features like The Arcade, Dino Safari, and Real Bodies that cater to visitors of all ages. For entertainment, you’re in luck with a couple of great shows available right within the hotel. Potted Potter and Paranormal Mind Reading are both worth checking out.

Additionally, the Grand Bazaar Shops in front of the resort offer a variety of popular restaurants and bars, including Ole Red and Wahlburgers, providing more dining and drinking options.

The only real downside to Horseshoe is the limited number of restaurants inside the hotel itself. The main options are Jack Binion’s Steakhouse and Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Sports Kitchen.

But if you’re not overly concerned about having a wide variety of in-house dining options, Horseshoe makes for a great choice among the cheap Vegas hotels on The Strip. It’s a property that caters well to all ages and offers a comfortable, budget-friendly stay right in the heart of the action.

7. Harrah’s

Harrah’s

Rated 0.0 out of 5

3475 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Book Room

Harrah’s, a mid-tier budget hotel, is a decent choice among the cheap hotels in Las Vegas Strip. Located near the center of The Strip, Harrah’s offers fair room quality. While the rooms may not be particularly remarkable, they provide sufficient comfort for those who aren’t overly concerned about luxury.

The hotel boasts some great amenities like Carnaval Court, Donny Osmond, and the Piano Bar. When it comes to dining, Harrah’s hosts excellent restaurants such as Ramsay’s Kitchen, Walk-On’s, and Pizza Cake.

If you’re looking to save even more, you’ll find affordable fast-food outlets like Chipotle and Panda Express just outside the hotel. Moreover, you’re right next to Casino Royale, which is known for its cheap food court and low-stakes gambling.

It’s worth noting that Harrah’s is an older casino and at times, it shows its age. The crowd here tends to skew towards middle-aged, but the value it provides can be appreciated by everyone. If you’re searching for cheap Vegas hotels on The Strip that offer a decent stay without breaking the bank, Harrah’s should definitely be on your shortlist.

8. Excalibur

Excalibur Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas

Excalibur

Rated 0.0 out of 5

3850 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Book Room

Located on the southern end of The Strip, Excalibur is among the cheap hotels in Las Vegas Strip that cater to families on a budget. With room rates that can dip as low as $20 per night, it’s definitely one of the more affordable options in the area. The rooms here are basic and functional, perfect for families who prioritize convenience and savings over luxury.

The hotel boasts a really nice pool and some great shows, including Mac King Comedy Magic and the Tournament of Kings. When it comes to dining, Excalibur offers a variety of options. There’s Buca di Beppo for those craving Italian and a food court with cheaper options for quick bites.

However, it’s important to note that the quality of Excalibur has been noted to be on a downward trend. It tends to get crowded, especially with families and children, given its family-friendly orientation.

Plus, its location on the south end of The Strip may not be ideal for everyone. If you’re not traveling with kids, you might want to consider other cheap Vegas hotels on The Strip that better suit your preferences.

9. Luxor

Luxor Hotel & Resort in Las Vegas

Luxor

Rated 0.0 out of 5

3900 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119

Book Room

Situated right next to Excalibur on the southern end of The Strip, Luxor is another option for those seeking cheap hotels in Las Vegas Strip. Room rates here are also quite affordable, often as low as $20 per night during weekdays. However, it’s worth noting that the quality of accommodation here is not high. You’ll find basic rooms with standard hotel amenities.

Despite the room quality, Luxor does have its perks. Notably, the hotel has a nice pool and offers a variety of entertainment options. You can enjoy shows by the Blue Man Group and Carrot Top or visit HyperX for an immersive gaming experience.

The main drawbacks of Luxor are its location on the south end of The Strip and the limited dining options within the hotel. This hotel primarily caters to families with teenagers and budget-minded tourists.

However, if you’re attending an event at Allegiant Stadium, Luxor could be an ideal choice as it’s the cheapest option in close proximity to the stadium. So, when considering cheap Vegas hotels on the strip, Luxor could be a suitable pick depending on your needs and preferences.

10. Sahara

Sahara

Rated 0.0 out of 5

Sahara, 2535 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Book Room

Located on the northern end of The Strip, Sahara is a notable option among the cheap hotels in Las Vegas Strip. With dirt-cheap room rates and a major renovation under its belt, the quality of the hotel and casino is surprisingly nice considering the price.

It’s a place where you can enjoy good value without compromising too much on the quality of your stay. Sahara offers free parking, which is a rare perk in Las Vegas.

As for amenities, Sahara has quite a few to offer. The Casbar Lounge and Azilo Ultra Pool are personal favorites, and Uno Más Street Tacos offers a delightful dining experience. The hotel is also home to the renowned Bazaar Meat By José Andrés and Magic Mike Live, although these aren’t exactly budget-friendly options.

The main drawback of Sahara is its location on the far north end of The Strip. While it’s one of the closest options if you’re visiting the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, it’s not ideal if you plan on exploring the rest of Las Vegas.

Despite having a monorail stop, you’ll likely end up walking long distances or needing a cab. Keep this in mind when considering Sahara as one of your choices among the cheap Vegas hotels on The Strip.

11. Circus Circus

Circus Circus Hotel & Casino Las Vegas: Family-Friendly Fun

Circus Circus

Rated 0.0 out of 5

2880 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109

Book Room

Just a stone’s throw away from Sahara on the north end of The Strip, Circus Circus stakes its claim among the cheap hotels in Las Vegas Strip. With room rates often as low as $17 per night, it’s a price that seems almost too good to be true.

However, you should be aware that the inexpensive cost does come with a trade-off – the quality is, quite frankly, quite low. Circus Circus has carved out a niche for itself catering to families with children of all ages.

The hotel boasts attractions like The Adventuredome theme park, a free circus show, and a midway, all designed to keep young ones entertained.

While Circus Circus wouldn’t be my first choice for a stay, if your budget is tight and you’re traveling with kids, it could be a sensible, wallet-friendly option on The Strip. But if you’re not traveling with children, I would recommend steering clear of Circus Circus.

The child-centric amenities and low-quality rooms may not offer the kind of experience you’re looking for. Instead, consider Sahara. It’s similarly priced and offers a more adult-focused experience, making it a solid choice when considering cheap Vegas hotels on The Strip.

How We Chose Cheap Vegas Hotels On The Strip

The most important component when choosing the best cheap hotels on The Strip was total cost. This includes the price of the room, food and drinks, and entertainment. Next, the location on The Strip was very important. The closer to the center, the higher the score. Finally, I chose hotels based on room quality. I’ve stayed at most of these hotels and have visited all of them over the years. Some cheap hotels stand out, while others are places I avoid.

Conclusion

When staying on The Strip with a tight-budget, I’d recommend the Flamingo Hotel & Casino. It’s got the best access to cheap food and drinks, entertainment, and the rooms are nice for the price. For a better room, check out New York New York or Planet Hollywood.
