Cosmopolitan Review

Summary: If you’re looking for a centrally-located resort with plenty of things to do, the Cosmopolitan is a great choice. With modern rooms, great restaurants and bars, and plenty of entertainment options, you’ll never be bored.

Pros

  • The Cosmopolitan is the best hotel in Las Vegas
  • It’s located near the center of The Strip
  • Excellent rooms and suites with balconies overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard

Cons

  • Peak season prices can get unreasonably expensive compared to other hotels on the Las Vegas Strip

The centrally-located Cosmopolitan truly has something for everyone. In fact, it’s often touted as the best hotel in Las Vegas. The rooms are modern and chic, including unique rooms and suites with balconies overlooking fountains and The Strip.

Cosmo has a wide variety of dining options, from fine dining to casual eats, making it awesome for a big group or an intimate dinner for two. They’ve also got great bars, including the tequila and mezcal lounge Ghost Donkey and the throwback joint The Barbershop Cuts and Cocktails.

You won’t be short of entertainment options, either! See concerts at The Chelsea or see a fast, funny (and definitely adult-only) show at Opium. The Cosmopolitan offers tremendous rooms with great views of The Strip. The resort offers great pools, dining, and activities.

Caesars Palace Review

Summary: If you’re looking for a centrally-located hotel on the Strip, Caesars Palace is a great option. They have a huge pool and some great shows, and the prices are reasonable compared to some of the other hotels on The Strip.

Pros

  • Caesars Palace has the best location on The Strip
  • It’s close to popular attractions, casinos, and restaurants

Cons

  • On the weekends the resort is overcrowded
  • Everything is expensive

If you pick a hotel based on location, Caesars Palace is your place. Located smack down in the middle of The Strip, you’ll have easy access to all the big attractions in Sin City. I can’t talk about Caesar’s without mentioning their huge 7-part pool, the Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis. Also, check out the over 160 stores making up The Forum Shops!

You can also see some of the great shows in Vegas at The Colosseum and Absinthe, the best show in Las Vegas (it definitely lives up to the concept of “only in Vegas”)! The shows, bars, and reasonable price points make it an excellent option for bachelor parties.

Caesars Palace is definitely one of the best hotels on the Vegas Strip! Caesars Palace is a good place to stay for those who want easy access to all the big attractions on The Strip.

Aria Review

Summary: Aria is a great place for a night out on the town in Vegas. The luxurious rooms and top-notch food options make it the perfect place for a relaxing getaway.

Pros

  • Aria provides top-tier luxury and service
  • It’s near the heart of The Strip with quick access to T-Mobile Arena

Cons

  • It’s a very expensive resort

Aria is another luxury Vegas hotel with an enticing set of amenities. One of the most stand-out parts of Aria is their full-service spa, perfect for a quiet retreat. When you’re ready to bring the energy back up, the Aria houses the JEWEL Nightclub and Aria Casino.

With this quality comes a bit higher of a price point and many dining options to satisfy your cravings, including the French-inspired Bardot Brasserie and Mexican cuisine at Javier’s.Aria’s luxurious rooms, great food options, and upscale atmosphere are great for a nightlife-loving couple looking for relaxation.

Aria is a luxurious Vegas hotel with top-notch amenities, including first-class food and drinks.

Bellagio Review

Summary: The Bellagio is a must-go for Vegas first timers because of its iconic fountains and Cirque du Soleil show.

Pros

  • Bellagio is one of the most iconic hotels in Las Vegas
  • The luxury resort offers everything from Cirque du Soleil, dining, and amenities like the Bellagio Conservatory

Cons

  • Bellagio is an older building with a higher price

You probably know about their stunning fountains soaring outside. Still, Bellagio has much more to it than just the gorgeous entrance! At Bellagio, you can look forward to an array of dining experiences, the convenience of a central location on The Strip, and great amenities.

Some entertainment you’ll enjoy is “O” by Cirque du Soleil, the best Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas, and the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. With its unbeatable location comes a bit higher price, of course. However, the elegant Italian-inspired design and countless amenities won’t disappoint—it’s an older building but still among the best hotels on Vegas Strip.

The Bellagio is a must-go for Vegas first-timers! From the iconic fountains to Cirque du Soleil, the Bellagio is a world-class destination on The Strip.

5. Wynn Las Vegas

Wynn Las Vegas Review

Summary: The Wynn Las Vegas is a great place to stay on The Strip. They have amazing restaurants, pools, and a spa. Prices can be a bit expensive during peak season, but it’s worth it!

Pros

  • Wynn offers the best service on The Strip
  • Lots of amenities, such as pools, restaurants, clubbing, and more

Cons

  • The resort is on the north end of The Strip
  • Prices can skyrocket during peak season

You won’t find better all-around service than at Wynn, located on the north end of The Strip. They have so much to offer, so you definitely won’t be bored.

Here are a few things to look forward to: they have a three-pool setup, a newly renovated spa, and globally-inspired restaurants (including Wing Lei, the first Chinese restaurant to get a Michelin star in North America).

Additionally, the sportsbook is simply the best on The Strip. With 1,600 square feet of LED screens, you can watch all the games you want and visit the betting stations while you’re at it. Enjoy some of the most top-tier rooms in Vegas at Wynn & Encore!

Wynn Las Vegas offer the best service on The Strip and are located north of Las Vegas Boulevard. Here you’ll find outstanding dining, clubbing, and entertainment. Prices can skyrocket during peak season.

The Venetian Review

Summary: The Venetian is a great place to stay if you want to be near the action on the north end of The Strip. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from, as well as shows and shopping. The rooms are also spacious and comfortable.

Pros

  • The Venetian is a bustling place with lots to do
  • The Grand Canal Shops have lots of great restaurants and bars
  • Free parking

Cons

  • The prices can get pretty steep during peak season
  • It’s on the north end of The Strip

The Venetian creates a bustling Italian atmosphere on the north end of The Strip. Honestly, there’s so much to do within the place that you’ll have to divide your time between it all.

Some of the favorites are the extremely popular Atomic Saloon Show and The Grand Canal Shoppes. Additionally, there are so many good eats at The Venetian, including tons of different upscale and casual restaurants and bars to pick from. Also, the rooms are huge—definitely more spacious than many other hotels.

The Venetian is a central hub of activity near the north end of The Strip with many different activities for tourists. From fine dining to live entertainment, The Venetian has something for everyone.

Mandalay Bay Review

Summary: Mandalay Bay is a great hotel for families with kids. It’s home to a ton of entertainment and food options, and its wave pool and lazy river right outside are a major highlight!

Pros

  • Mandalay Bay has something for everyone on The Strip
  • Whether you’re looking to kick back with some fine dining, enjoy live entertainment in one of their dayclubs or go clubbing all night long–Mandalay bay has it covered

Cons

  • The south end of The Strip has some drawbacks
  • When it’s busy, prices can soar, and the pool gets very crowded

Mandalay Bay is the first family-friendly hotel to make the list. It’s home to a ton of entertainment and food options. Of course, the 1.6 million-gallon wave pool and lazy river right outside are a major highlight! While it’s not the most centrally located hotel (it’s on the south end of The Strip), its shows will keep you entertained, including Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil.

Plus, it’s the closest hotel to Allegiant Stadium if you want to check out a Las Vegas Raiders game or other live events. It’s definitely one of the best hotels on the Vegas Strip, especially for families with kids.

Whether you’re chilling with a drink on the sandy Mandalay Bay Beach or enjoying a perfect wine-paired meal at Aureole, you’ll find something to love here. Mandalay Bay is a great hotel for families with both entertainment and food options. Mandalay Bay Beach features a big wave pool and lazy river.

8. Resorts World

The Newest Resort On The Strip

Resorts World Las Vegas Review
Best Hotels On Las Vegas Strip: Resorts World Las Vegas

Room Rate: $99–399+

Hotel Rating: 4.5/5

Resorts World Review

Summary: Resorts World is great for those looking for a good party – with its nightclub and dayclub, as well as A-list entertainment, it is sure to please. However, its location on the north end of The Strip next to Circus Circus may be a turnoff for some.

Pros

  • It’s the newest resort on The Strip
  • The property offers many amenities and things to do on-site

Cons

  • Bad location
  • Everything is expensive

Resorts World is the hotel for you if you’re looking for a good party—day or night! Zouk Nightclub, the Ayu Dayclub, and A-list entertainment from Carrie Underwood to Katy Perry. It is the newest hotel in Vegas. Additionally, Resorts World has tons of great bars, over 40 restaurants, and a luxury pool.

It’s still honing in on top-Vegas level service, but it’s still one of the best hotels on the Vegas Strip. However, you’ll have to open your wallets a bit for this one. The location is isolated on the north end of The Strip next to Circus Circus. You can still enjoy sparkling views of The Strip from your room.

Resorts World is a new resort located on the north end of The Strip offering a lot of amenities including many restaurants and entertainment.

9. MGM Grand

An Iconic Property With Great Amenities

MGM Grand Las Vegas Review: There’s Something For Everyone

MGM Grand Review

Summary: The MGM Grand is a popular hotel in Las Vegas, offering many different show and entertainment options, including the Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club, Jabbawockeez, KÀ by Cirque du Soleil, and David Copperfield.

Pros

  • MGM Grand is beaming with great shows, live entertainment, and dining
  • It’s one of the busiest properties on The Strip, with countless activities to choose from

Cons

  • The iconic MGM Grand is a busy destination that can lead to high prices during peak season
  • The resort has seen better days; it’s starting to show its age

MGM Grand is one of the best hotels on The Strip in Vegas and definitely a very popular one! The location isn’t perfect, but it has amazing entertainment to make up for it, including Brad Garrett’s Comedy Club, Jabbawockeez, KÀ by Cirque du Soleil, and David Copperfield.

It also houses MGM Grand Garden Area, hosting major tours and sporting events. Fair warning, though, some things can run a bit high price-wise. MGM Grand is a popular hotel in Las Vegas, offering many different show and entertainment options.

10. Waldorf Astoria

The Best Hotel In The Middle of The Strip

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Review: Exquisite Luxury on The Strip

Waldorf Astoria Review

Summary: The Waldorf Astoria is a top-of-the-line luxury hotel on the Vegas Strip. However, it lacks amenities and has a hefty price tag.

Pros

  • Great location near Aria and Cosmopolitan with 5-star luxury rooms and service

Cons

  • It’s very expensive and has limited on-site amenities

Last but not least, the Waldorf Astoria encompasses all things luxury, making it perfect for couples. Of course, with this atmosphere comes a hefty price tag. You won’t find a room at this non-gaming hotel for less than $200. You can enjoy fine dining at Skybar and Zen Kitchen.

However, you’ll have to venture out to another venue nearby for entertainment, as Waldorf Astoria doesn’t have any in-house. This list of the ten best hotels on the Vegas Strip wouldn’t be complete without Waldorf Astoria! The Waldorf Astoria is one of the best luxury hotels on The Strip. The hotel is top of its class but lacks amenities.

How We Determined The Best Hotels on the Las Vegas Strip

In order to rank the best hotels on the Las Vegas Strip, I looked at a variety of factors including location, amenities, and price. I also considered the reviews of previous guests to get a sense of their overall experience. For each hotel, I looked at the number of stars it had been given by major reviewing sites.

I then compared these numbers to the room rates listed on the hotel’s website. From there, I was able to compile a list of the best hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. In order to find the best deal, I also looked at discounts and promotions that were being offered by each hotel. By taking all of these factors into consideration, I was able to find the best hotels on the Las Vegas Strip for a variety of budgets.

Methodology: How We Ranked Las Vegas Strip Hotels

The questions I asked to determine the best hotels on the Las Vegas Strip were:
Where is it located? What are the amenities offered by each hotel? How much do the rooms cost? What are the ratings of each hotel on major reviewing sites? Are there any discounts or promotions being offered by the hotels?

Frequently Asked Questions

Out of all the incredible hotels on the Vegas Strip, I think the best place to stay is right in the center. Hotels like Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Horseshoe (formerly Bally’s), and Flamingo are all centrally-located, making it easy to walk to all the best attractions. The Strip is over four miles long, so staying in the middle means you won’t have to trek all the way to the end just to see the Eiffel Tower or the Venetian canals. And if you do want to venture out further, there’s always the monorail or a cab. But for me, there’s no need to go anywhere else when you’re right in the heart of all the action.

Before you start planning your trip to Vegas, you need to know where the center of the action is. And at LasVegasTrip, we define the center of The Strip as the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road. This is where you’ll find some of the most iconic casinos and hotels in town, including Caesars Palace, Bellagio, and Horseshoe (formerly Bally’s). It’s also where you’ll find a concentration of outdoor attractions, like the world-famous Fountains of Bellagio and the Eiffel Tower. So if you’re looking for the ultimate Vegas experience, make sure to head to the center of The Strip.

I am often asked how long it takes to walk the Vegas Strip. The answer really depends on how fast you walk and how often you stop to enjoy the attractions. The Strip is over 4-miles long and meanders through casinos, hotels, and restaurants. Walking from the “Welcome To Las Vegas Sign” to The Strat will take about two to three hours. Of course, if you stop to take in a show or try your luck at the casino, it will take longer. But even if you just window shop and people watch, you can easily spend a couple of hours strolling down Las Vegas Boulevard. So next time someone asks how long it takes to walk the Strip, tell them it depends on how much fun you want to have.
