How We Determined The Best Las Vegas Shows for Kids
In my opinion, Las Vegas is not a kid-friendly place. It’s an adult playground. I have seen a lot of debauchery firsthand on The Strip and Downtown. I would never recommend anyone bring their kids to Las Vegas, and I would discourage it. That said, there are a lot of great activities for kids in Vegas. I wanted to shape this list to present the best possible options for parents.
Methodology: How We Ranked Family-Friendly Vegas Shows
My method for selecting kid-friendly Vegas shows started with determining the appropriate age range. Do the acts swear on stage? Are there revealing outfits? Would anyone find content within the performance objectionable for a child? I asked these questions and compared them to movie ratings. Is it PG or PG-13?
Next, ticket prices matter when you buy three, four, five, or more tickets. There are very few shows in Vegas that offer discounts for children. I wanted to be mindful of how expensive tickets are, considering you’ll probably need to buy more than two. Another consideration was what time does the show start? For young kids, an afternoon or early evening show is excellent. But I wanted to be mindful of bedtime. Some hotels are better for kids than others. I asked the question, is the show at a family-friendly hotel? Bonus points if it is.
