El Cortez Hotel & Casino is in the Fremont East District of Downtown Las Vegas. The rooms are affordable on weekdays, but go up quite a bit during weekends. Restaurants

El Cortez is one of the most iconic hotels in Las Vegas. It’s known for its vintage style and old-school cool. And if you’re a foodie, it’s definitely the place to be. With several restaurants and bars on site, as well as some great ones within walking distance, you’ll never go hungry (or thirsty) at El Cortez. Here’s a rundown of what the hotel has to offer.

Siegel’s 1941: This 24-hour restaurant is a great option whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They serve classic dishes with a sophisticated twist. And their 1940s-inspired decor will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time.

The Parlour Bar & Lounge: This cozy spot is perfect for enjoying drinks with friends. They have a great selection of cocktails, beer, and wine. And if you’re there on the weekend, you can enjoy live music from local bands.

Ike’s Bar: If you’re looking to catch your favorite team’s game while in Vegas, Ike’s Bar is the place to be. They have all the major sports packages, so you won’t miss a thing. And of course, they’ve got plenty of drinks to keep you hydrated while you cheer on your team.

Within Walking Distance: If you want to explore beyond El Cortez, there are some great options nearby. Just across the street from the main entrance is Eureka! They have delicious burgers and an extensive craft beer list. If sushi is more your thing, head over to Sushi Ichiban. Or if you’re looking for some authentic Mexican food, check out La Comida or Evel Pie.

Casino

El Cortez is a casino located in the heart of downtown Las Vegas. The casino offers a wide selection of slots, table games, and a full race and sports book. El Cortez also brags about having slots that are 40% looser than those found on The Strip.

You’ll find penny and nickel slot machines, video poker, and coin-operated machines at El Cortez. The selection of machines is not as large as what you’ll find at some of the other casinos on The Strip, but there’s still plenty to choose from.

You’ll also find 3-2 Blackjack, low-minimum Roulette, 3-Card Poker, 10x Craps, and Ultimate Texas Hold’em at the casino. If you’re looking for something a little different, the casino also features a handful of low denomination electronic table games. These include electronic Roulette, electronic Craps, and electronic Blackjack.

The race and sportsbook is operated by Station Casinos. It’s a small room with lots of TVs, but it’s not a great viewing experience. If you’re looking to bet on sports or horse racing, you’ll find everything you need at El Cortez. However, if you’re looking for a more immersive sports betting experience, you might want to check out one of the other sportsbooks in Las Vegas.

There are a few things that you won’t find at El Cortez. There is no poker room, keno lounge, or bingo hall. If these are things that you’re interested in, you’ll have to go elsewhere. However, if you’re just looking for a classic casino experience with plenty of slots and table games, El Cortez will definitely not disappoint.

Recap

El Cortez is one of my favorite places in Las Vegas. It’s a unique, charming casino with great staff, and it really gives you an authentic old-school Vegas vibe that’s hard to beat. There are also several restaurants and bars on site, as well as some great ones within walking distance, so you’ll never go hungry (or thirsty) during your stay. If you’re looking for a unique Las Vegas experience, I highly recommend staying at El Cortez.
