Planet Hollywood is a high-energy hotel and casino near the heart of The Strip.
Pros
Cons
Are you looking for a hotel in Vegas that will keep the party going all night long? Look no further than Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino. This centrally located hotel is next to Paris Las Vegas and across the street from The Cosmopolitan and Bellagio. You’ll be right in the middle of all the action on The Strip!
Planet Hollywood is also one of the most reasonably priced hotels in Vegas. On weeknights, you can find rooms for as low as $49/night. But if you’re looking to party on the weekends, rates will go up to $279/night. No matter when you stay, though, you’re sure to have a good time at Planet Hollywood.
I love the energy and atmosphere of the strip. When I’m looking for a hotel that matches that vibe, I always stay at Planet Hollywood. It’s perfect for 30-somethings and young adults looking to have an energetic trip. It’s also very affordable during the week, making it a great hotel for budget-minded travelers.
I’ve stayed at Planet Hollywood numerous times. The standard rooms are spacious and comfortable with great beds. The bathrooms are large. The only downside is that they can be a bit noisy if you’re trying to sleep in, but that’s to be expected when you’re staying on the strip. If you want a quiet room, I recommend requesting one that’s not facing the casino floor.
Years ago I used the $20 Trick and got a free upgrade to a Panoramic Suite, which was absolutely amazing with stunning views of the Eiffel Tower, High Roller, and Bellagio Fountains. I’ve also stayed in the Ultra Hip Strip Suite. Both suites were fantastic with plenty of space to hang out after a long night of Vegas fun. If you can splurge on a suite, I definitely recommend it. But even the standard rooms are great if you’re on a budget.
The check-in process at Planet Hollywood is entirely self-service. There are kiosks where you can check yourself in, but they are confusing and often stop working. This wouldn’t be so bad if there were more employees available to help you, but there’s only a few nearby who are assisting everyone.
The rooms at Planet Hollywood are pretty standard as far as Vegas hotel rooms go. You’ll find the typical Vegas hotel amenities in the room. You generally won’t find a minifridge or coffee pot. Like other Caesars properties, self-parking is free for hotel guests. They charge for valet parking and all other visitors. This is pretty standard for Vegas hotels, so nothing too surprising here.
No matter what your budget is, Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino has a room that will fit your needs. The standard rooms are spacious and comfortable with great beds and large bathrooms. If you can splurge on a suite, there are some amazing options available with stunning views of the strip. Either way, you’re sure to have a great time at this party hotel!
The pool at Planet Hollywood is located on the west side of the hotel towers, overlooking Las Vegas Boulevard. There are two pools—one for lounging and leisure, and one for adults only, complete with a DJ and loud music. Throughout the pool deck, you’ll find yard games and lounge areas. There’s also a restaurant and bar.
Because of its location, there is some morning shade at the pool. But by afternoon, finding a shady spot can be difficult. If you’re looking to escape the heat, you might want to consider renting a cabana. They come complete with couches, TVs, and ceiling fans—perfect for cooling off in between dips in the pool.
I wouldn’t exactly say that the pool at Planet Hollywood is “kid-friendly.” It’s a relatively generic hotel pool without any special features. If you’re looking for a place to take your kids to splash around, this probably isn’t it.
That being said, if you’re looking for a place to party, this is definitely the spot for you. The adults-only pool is always packed with people dancing and having a good time. And if you get thirsty or hungry, there’s no need to leave the pool deck—just head to the restaurant or bar.
If you’re looking for a party atmosphere, Planet Hollywood’s pool is definitely worth checking out. But if you’re traveling with kids or are just looking for a more low-key experience, you might want to look elsewhere.
Vegas is known for its party atmosphere, and Planet Hollywood does not disappoint. This hotel is home to 20 different restaurants, ranging from casual to fine dining.
If you’re looking for a luxurious steakhouse experience, Strip House is the place for you. The setting is vintage Hollywood, and the menu features prime cuts of beef as well as seafood. The wine list is also very good.
Koi offers Japanese-inspired cuisine with a Californian twist. Yolös celebrates Mexican culture with a fiesta atmosphere. The food is authentic and reasonably priced. The margaritas are also very good.
I was pleasantly surprised by Gordon Ramsay Burger. Most celebrity-chef restaurants are overpriced and don’t live up to the hype, but this place was different. The burgers were delicious, the service was good, and the price was fair.
For breakfast, I recommend Earl of Sandwich. They have delicious sandwiches that won’t break the bank. The line can get pretty long, so make sure to go early.
You will also find P.F. Chang’s, Pin Up Pizza, Cafe Hollywood, Starbucks, and a Chick-Fil-A.
Inside Miracle Mile Shops there’s a couple of great restaurants like Blondies, Cabo Wabo, Flights, Nacho Daddy, and so much more.
Whatever your appetite craves, you’ll find something delicious at Planet Hollywood.

Planet Hollywood is home to a large concert theater, Criss Angel’s Mindfreak show, and V Theater.
Zappos Theater is one of the most popular venues on the Las Vegas Strip. This 5,200-seat theater has schedule residencies with Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, and ventriloquist comedian Jeff Dunham. The theater is also a stop on many major concert tours. If you’re looking for a night of high-energy fun, Zappos Theater is the place for you.
In addition to all the great music and shows, Planet Hollywood is also home to Criss Angel’s Mindfreak. This show made our list of best Las Vegas magic shows for good reason. Criss Angel is an incredible magician who will blow your mind with his death-defying feats of magic.
In the Miracle Mile Shops you’ll find V Theater which is home to popular family-friendly shows like V The Ultimate Variety Show, Nathan Burton Comedy Magician, Popovich Comedy Pet Theater, and more.
Even though there isn’t a nightclub at Planet Hollywood, Heart Bar turns into a popular dance spot with a DJ and live music. The atmosphere is electric and the drinks are flowing, so it’s the perfect place to let loose and have some fun. If you’re looking for a nightclub-type experience without having to leave the hotel, Heart Bar is the place to be.
If shopping is more your speed, Planet Hollywood is home to the Miracle Mile Shops which are home to popular retail stores, restaurants, and bars. You could easily spend an entire day (or more!) exploring all the shops and restaurants in Miracle Mile. And if you get tired, there’s always something going on at one of the many bars or clubs. There’s truly something for everyone at Miracle Mile Shops.
After a long day of sightseeing or partying, you might want to spend some time at The Spa at Planet Hollywood. This spa provides massages, water therapy, facial and body treatments, whirlpools, saunas, a salon, and a fitness center. Perfect for a day of rest and relaxation after a long night on The Strip.
Whether you’re looking for a night of dancing, some retail therapy, or just want to relax, Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino has you covered. With its central location on The Strip and multitude of things to do both inside and outside the hotel, Planet Hollywood is the perfect place to stay for your next trip to Las Vegas.
The casino pit at Planet Hollywood is full of energy and definitely a party atmosphere. The music is thumping and the lights are flashing, and there are go-go dancers dancing on platforms throughout the pit. If you’re looking for a place to play Craps, Blackjack, or Roulette, you’ll find quite a few tables with $10 to $15 minimums. And if you want to take a break from gambling, you can always watch the dancers or grab a drink at one of the bars near the pit.
Planet Hollywood’s casino floor is filled with slots and video poker machines throughout. You’ll find all the modern games, as well as some favorites from decades past. There’s something for everyone here. And if you get hungry while you’re playing, there are plenty of places to grab a bite on the casino floor.
If you’re into sports betting, then you’ll definitely want to check out the Sportsbook at Planet Hollywood. It’s dark and full of energy, and it has its own restaurant and bar so you can grab a bite or a drink while you watch the game. And with video poker machines scattered around, you won’t have to miss any action on Football weekends.
Unfortunately, Planet Hollywood no longer has a poker room. However, they do have other table games like Pai Gow Poker and Let it Ride. You also won’t find Keno and Bingo.
All in all, Planet Hollywood is a great choice for travelers looking to be in the heart of the action on The Strip. With plenty of things to do, see, and eat right at the hotel, you won’t even need to step outside to have an amazing vacation. So what are you waiting for? Book your room today and get ready to party at one of Las Vegas’ most popular hotels!
