Sahara Las Vegas Review & Hotel Guide

The Sahara Las Vegas is a hotel located on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip.

    • Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres
    • Good live entertainment

    • Bad location
    • Everything is expensive

The Sahara feels intimate with its boutique-styled lounges and restaurants. This hotel really sits at the crossroads of traditional Las Vegas glamour with a touch of sophistication. It’s really easy to get around the area where the hotel sits and visit other resorts and casinos, but everything you could need throughout your stay is right at the Sahara Las Vegas. More than a place to rest your head at night, the Sahara offers iconic shows like Magic Mike and chic lounges like The Casbar Lounge, all making for a memorable stay.

The Sahara Hotel Las Vegas is an affordable hotel option that sits on the northern end of the Las Vegas Strip. Sahara Las Vegas is equipped with its own monorail station, which can get you up and down the Strip effortlessly, with trains arriving every 4-8 minutes at one of the monorails 7 locations, one being right at the Sahara. The hotel is also perfectly situated next to Las Vegas Festival Grounds, making it an excellent option for festival-goers looking to stay the night.

The Sahara Las Vegas features three towers: Alexandria, Marra, and Blanca. The Marra and Blanca Towers have standard rooms with basic amenities such as mini-fridges, armoire closets, and compact workspaces available in each room. The Blanca Tower was recently renovated and has 196, 300 square foot rooms now available, and has a nostalgic sense of style (a nod to old Vegas, if you will). The Marra Tower hosts over 1,000 rooms and feels a bit more elevated and urban than the nostalgic Blanca Tower. The Alexandria Tower is where things get interesting – the décor in the Alexandria rooms feels chic with a touch of royalty. Standard rooms in the Alexandria Tower are 490 square feet and feature oversized bathrooms, plush banquettes, and expansive workspaces.

Suites at the Sahara all feature essentially the same amenities: enough space for living and entertaining, upgraded bedding for maximum comfort, dining room sets, oversized bathrooms with quality bath products, and so much more. The themes of all three towers are appealing and comfortable, so you can’t go wrong no matter which room or suite you choose!

The biggest water-based attraction at the Sahara is its Azilo Ultra Pool. Azilo offers an intimate poolside experience that whisks guests away into the dunes of Morocco. The alluring atmosphere is what makes this pool more than a pool; it’s truly an experience. Lush greens surround daybeds and cabanas while the sultry and relaxing sounds of Morocco elevate your experience. This is a 21+ experience, but if you have kids there are plenty of other pool options at the Sahara Las Vegas.

The Sahara also features two rooftop pools, the Alexandria and Retro pools. While the Alexandria pool is a 21+ option, the Retro pool is open to all ages! Both pools offer excellent views of the Las Vegas mountain range and the sparkling lights of downtown Las Vegas. These pools feel private as they are situated high above the Strip and are great places to relax and soak up the Las Vegas sun.

Soothe and rejuvenate your senses at the Amina Spa, only at the Sahara Las Vegas. Sometimes we all need a break from the action, and the Amina Spa offers a divine selection of massages, facials, body treatments, and full packages of relaxation. The spa hosts 10 treatment rooms and guests have access to the spa’s oversized, experiential showers. You’ll feel like you’re in another world after visiting Amina!

Immerse yourself in a shared plate dining experience at Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres. Vegetarian options are also available at Uno Mas, making it the perfect spot for a taste of Mexico.

Prendi is your quintessential fast-casual Italian café located right in the Sahara Las Vegas. Grab a delicious sandwich, soup, salad, or even gelato to go for a quick pick-me-up or something fast but filling before heading out for the night. Prendi can also fulfill all your quick coffee needs to cure any post-travel jetlag. Despite this being a quick option, Prendi utilizes the freshest ingredients and makes everything in-house.

The newest addition to the Sahara Las Vegas’ award-winning dining experiences is Ballo Italian Soul, a James Beard chef-run restaurant that embraces new traditions in Italian cuisine. The atmosphere here feels energetic and experimental given the restaurant’s commitment to innovation within Italian cuisine. Prepare to experience elevated Roman-style pizzas, handmade pasta, and constantly evolving seasonal sides. This is the perfect spot to gather and watch your food be prepared right in front of you through the preparation window.

Other options you will run into at Sahara Las Vegas include Zeffer’s Café, a great spot for breakfast; Chickie’s & Pete’s, a Philadelphia inspired joint serving up crab fries and delectable chicken sandwiches; The Noodle Den, a new Asian food launch at the Sahara; and Starbucks, a cult-classic for those mid-day or early morning pick-me-ups.

You’ve probably seen or heard of Magic Mike the movie, but did you know the actual Magic Mike show lives on at the Sahara Las Vegas? That’s right, you can witness a crew of sensual male dancers giving the performance of a lifetime right at the Sahara! Directed by dancer and actor Channing Tatum, enjoy 360-degree views of the hottest male dancers in Las Vegas perform acrobatics and musical numbers that will leave you sweating. This is an 18+ performance, so let your hair down and leave the kids at home.

Join actor and comedian Eddie Griffin for The Eddie Griffin Experience at the Sahara Las Vegas! Griffin was voted one of the top 100 stand-up comedians of all time and his show at the Sahara is the perfect example of why – enjoy Griffin’s sharp sense of humor and witty takes on current events and affairs. He’s been perfecting his craft since the 90s, so you are guaranteed lots of belly laughs and fun at Eddie’s show!

The Casbar will be your new favorite lounge in Vegas. Step into a night of live entertainment and creative cocktail recipes at the Casbar, where you can also catch your favorite sporting events on one of the many TVs throughout the lounge. The relaxed yet elegant atmosphere is the perfect backdrop for conversations that last all night while sampling the cocktail of the month. This is a 24 hour joint, so the party never stops.

For a taste of the finer things, visit The Tangier. Located next to the lobby of the Sahara Las Vegas, this lounge has a world-class selection of fine whiskeys, scotch, and cognacs, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends around one of the lounge’s classic wooden tables. The high caliber of ingredients and presentation for each cocktail is truly astonishing, and you can’t find more than 200 specialty brown liquors anywhere else on the Strip.

The casino at the Sahara Las Vegas offers distinctive gaming opportunities for its guests. The 60,000 square foot casino is a comfortable and inviting space for all players, new and seasoned, with its rich décor materials, chandelier lighting, and friendly staff. Guests can choose from over 600 slot machines, with classics and newer slot games to mix things up. Table games are abundantly available, offering Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, and more, with more than 50 tables available. Enjoy the most elegant game of poker in the Sahara’s Poker Room, offering a wide range of buy-in options for live play.

The Sahara Las Vegas teamed up with William Hill, a global leader in gaming, to give guests the William Hill Sportsbook experience. The sportsbook is equipped with Nevada’s largest betting menu and up-to-date technology. Guests have access to an HD video wall as well as access to the betting app on any smartphone or tablet, making sports betting super accessible and comfortable within the sportsbook space.
