What are the Best Tacos in Las Vegas?
I’ve scoured Las Vegas searching for the best tacos. I’ve been to many of the taco shops on this list, sampling a variety of offerings from the traditional street tacos to the gourmet tacos at high-end restaurants.
I carefully considered overall experience, freshness of ingredients, cost of tacos, location of the restaurant, and other user feedback when compiling this article on the best tacos in Vegas.
1. Tacos El Gordo
The Best Tacos In Las Vegas
If you’re looking for some of the best tacos in Las Vegas, look no further than Tacos El Gordo. With multiple locations all over the city, the prime spot is just north of Encore across the street from Resorts World on the north end of The Strip at 3041 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109.
They offer a variety of meats, including carne asada, chorizo, and beef brains, so there’s something for everyone. And don’t forget the salsas – they have some of the best in town!
2. Javier’s
Center Strip • Aria
Javier’s is an upscale Mexican restaurant at Aria. Javier’s is the perfect place to escape for an evening with its authentic dishes and drinks, quaint candlelit atmosphere. You will feel like you’ve been transported straight out of Mexico!
Javier’s has a wide range of Mexican cuisine, with a couple of great taco options including shrimp, beef, carnitas, and grilled chicken. Tacos at Javier’s will cost you a pretty penny as it’s the most expensive restaurant on this list. You should expect to spend at least $30 on tacos.
3. Tacos El Pastor
North Strip Near Resorts World
In 2019, there was some serious taco drama where Tacos El Gordo had to leave its original home on The Strip to a new location a few hundred feet away. Tacos El Pastor moved in and has been offering incredible tacos since.
Call it bias. I still prefer Tacos El Gordo. But if you love tacos, start your Las Vegas taco crawl at Tacos El Pastor. If you want a similar style to Tacos El Gordo but don’t want to wait in line, go to Tacos El Pastor at 3049 Las Vegas Boulevard S Las Vegas, NV 89109, across the street from Resorts World. You’ll spend about $10 on a plate of tacos.
4. Taco Y Taco
Henderson • 20-Minutes From The Strip
The food at Taco y Taco is not to be missed, with options for everyone. For the meat lover, there’s carne asada and carnitas. Your choice of toppings includes onions, cilantro, and lots of salsas available to choose from. The tacos come wrapped up in soft corn tortillas topped off by an authentic taste from Mexico City.
The food at Taco y Taco Mexican Eatery is worth the drive. Located off-strip at 9470 S Eastern Avenue, Las Vegas NV 89123, Taco y Taco is about a 20-minute drive from the center of The Strip.
Taco y Taco has some of the best tacos in Las Vegas! It’s a great place to get some delicious food and enjoy them while you’re here with friends or family. If I had only one choice, it would be their amazing carnitas or carne asada.
5. Gonzalez Y Gonzalez
South Strip • New York New York
Gonzalez y Gonzalez at New York New York Resort & Casino is the perfect spot to enjoy some south-of-the-border tacos and tequila. With one of las Vegas’ largest tequila menus, you’re sure not going thirsty or bored here!
Though limited to fish, chicken, or carne asada tacos, Gonzalez y Gonzalez is a party pleaser with a large menu of Mexican favorites, burgers, and more. A plate of tacos will cost you about $20 here.

Fremont Street • Golden Nugget
Get in the party mood at Cadillac Mexican Kitchen & Tequila Bar at the Golden Nugget Resort & Casino. Here you’ll find classic taco options in a fiesta that never stops–plus an awesome happy hour!

Here a plate of tacos will cost you about $15, but you’ll want to try everything on the menu.
7. El Segundo Sol
North Strip • Fashion Show Mall
One of my favorite spots on The Strip for tacos (and margaritas) is El Segundo Sol at Fashion Show Mall. Here you can sit back, enjoy views of The Strip, and slow down while sipping an ice-cold margarita or Corona.
Plus, they have great food–including delicious tacos. You can choose from different tacos like Mahi Mahi, steak, chicken, braised pork, or vegetable tacos.
The restaurant offers open-air dining, indoor seating, an outdoor patio, and a bar overlooking The Strip. I love coming here for a late lunch, grabbing a couple of happy hour beers, and enjoying the sights of Las Vegas. A plate of tacos will cost you about $20.

You’ll be able to enjoy all kinds of meat-free tacos from Mushroom Asada to Plantain Con Mole to vegetarian takes on classics like barbacoa, al pastor, and chorizo. I personally don’t seek out vegetarian options, but this place makes some mean tacos if you or someone in your party needs a vegetarian option. A platter of tacos will cost you about $12.
9. Casa Playa
North Strip • Wynn Las Vegas
If you’re looking for an upscale taco experience, look no further than Casa Playa at Wynn Las Vegas. Its small menu features some incredible items, including two tacos you must try.
Wagyu Carne Asada Tacos. Do you need wagyu on your tacos? Probably not. But when you can get wagyu on your tacos, why not? The other choice you need in your life is the Baja Fried Fish Tacos.
Pair these amazing options with a mezcal or tequila flight and enjoy one of the fanciest fiestas in Las Vegas. Casa Playa is perfect for a meal before a show at the Encore Theater or a night at XS Nightclub.

Visitors can find delicious tacos at Canonita inside the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian. The Mexican restaurant overlooks the Grand Canal gondolas and offers tacos inspired by Mexico City.

Cabo Wabo offers tacos with the best views, located outside of Planet Hollywood’s Miracle Mile Shops. The restaurant offers signature margaritas and mouthwatering Mexican cuisine with an outdoor patio that includes views of some other amazing landmarks like Bellagio Fountains, Eiffel Tower – not to mention endless people watching!
While Cabo Wabo does not have the best tacos on this list, it certainly has the best views. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Cabo Wabo is a great stop near the middle of The Strip for anyone who wants a good time while they enjoy some tacos. A plate of tacos will set you back about $15-$20.
